Good evening families! Here are your announcements for the week of May 19 2024

PARKING

Please park away from the dumpsters on Mondays. If the trash collector cannot access the dumpster, they will not stop. Thanks for your help!

​

NO SMOKING

As a gentle reminder, please do not smoke in your rooms, even if your window is open. We have lots of people in shelter, and some are sensitive to odors like cigarette smoke. For the sake of everyone, please step outside if you need to smoke.

​

FOOD ITEMS

Another gentle reminder: Please remember that all of our families are working with very limited budgets. Asking for food from others is not helpful to them, or you. If you need food, please let staff know and we can get food for you.

​

MEALS

Our church volunteers LOVE helping us serve you, especially when they get to cook. And BELIEVE ME -- church folk KNOW how to cook! Please do make an effort to join them on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays sometime between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., and be sure to thank them for their support! Also, if you or your children are artistic, our volunteers LOVE hand-made thank you cards.

This week's support congregations are Bethel AME Church and New Apostolic Church.

 

CHORES

Finally, please remember to clean your rooms, bathrooms, and dining area daily. With so many people under one roof, we have to keep things clean or we will quickly have pest issues! A chore chart has been posted. Please mark any chore completed with your room number. Thanks for all your help in keeping our facility hospitable for all of our guests!
